Welcome to Houston Texas!!

Welcome to Houston Texas! This is the Capital of No-Mass-Transit. I grew up mainly (from age 6-18) in Sugarland, TX which is was a small sleepy 'burb of Houston. I have moved around a bit: New York, Boston, short stints in Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, etc..

I find myself back in Houston with a bad new personality trait, I hate HATE driving in traffic.

I still enjoy taking my wife's new mini cooper on a white-knuckled-oh-crap-handled-race-against-that-mullet-headed-douchebag-in-the-late-80s-mustang. But traffic is a huge waist of my life.

I have decided to start riding my bicycle to work.

You're probably saying to yourself, "I've been to Houston, I hate it, its ugly, and I damn sure haven't seen any place safe to ride a bike." You'd be right on a lot of counts. However, there is more to this place than meets the eye. That is the subject of this blog and the reason for my new commute.
